Applying to Work, Study and Stay in Canada<\/b><\/h3>

International students planning to study in Canada need to get a study permit prior to coming to Canada. Students from certain countries may require a temporary resident visa to enter Canada and others from a non-visa- exempt country may require a visitor visa. Getting to Canada<\/b><\/h3>

For most International students the idea of studying in Canada will be exciting, fun and filled with trepidation. For many students they are bound to encounter some degree of culture shock. This is to be expected, but there are also ways to minimize the stress from this emotional transition.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

There are some essential points to gear yourself towards a smooth transition:<\/span><\/p>

  1. Make sure you have the right documentation for staying and studying in Canada.<\/span><\/li>
  2. Ensure you have the specific documentation when flying to Canada.<\/span><\/li>
  3. Don’t carry too much money or too much baggage.<\/span><\/li>
  4. Decide on banking in Canada or to keep it going from home. The same decision will also have to be made on communication\/Cell phone and data. Something to note would be if you decide to keep your banking and communication going from home you may incur very high charges.<\/span><\/li>
